Gleeson Recruitment Limited is working in exclusive partnership with Midlands Co-operative to recruit for a Transport Accountant. Candidates will need to be qualified or qualified by experience, and will have gained significant experience in a management accounting or Finance Manager role, providing analytical support in commercially driven environment. This role will involve multi-site exposure between Birmingham and the East Midlands so candidates must be prepared to travel when required. Duties include: manage the Society’s Transport financial accounting records, systems, reporting and control procedures to comply with statutory requirements; manage the provision of management accounts, financial management information, budgets and forecasts to the Transport business; to lead, develop and motivate the Transport Accounts team of 6 staff, ensuring effective performance management and succession planning; to drive innovation and improvements in financial processes and procedures; provide support to the Financial Accountant – Corporate and Other Businesses.
