Oxford University has embarked on a programme to bring together all the main ICT providers in University Administration and Services. These are Oxford University Computing Services (OUCS), ICT Support team (ICTST), Business Services and Projects (BSP) and Telecomms. The bringing together of the three departments will result in a new single central department, IT Services, that provides effective, efficient, reliable and innovative services to support Oxford University academic and administrative staff and students in their activities. Within the IT services department the Finance Manager supports the strategic agenda of the Chief Information Officer as well as providing advice and guidance on matters of finance to individual Managers and staff. The Finance Manager will attend the ICT Management Board. The combined activities will be responsible for revenue and capital expenditure totalling £31m and an operation employing 280 staff. The Finance Manager will be responsible for developing a financial strategy and for preparing the annual budget, using financial modelling effectively and costing both regular and new activities.
