Our client is a leading international Professional Services organisation with its' head office based at Liverpool Street. It has an opening for a strong Assistant Accountant to join its Finance department of around 10 staff on a 12 month maternity cover contract. This is predominantly a financial accounting role, including intercompany accounting, VAT reporting (often complex including foreign requirements and adjustments), balance sheet control and compliance work. The Financial Accounting and Reporting team manages a range of Financial Accounting and Reporting activities from balance sheet reconciliation and control through to period reporting in Hyperion across a significant number of business units/markets. SPX is US owned and therefore operates a Sarbanes-Oxley compliance environment. The Accounting Associate roles provide the key accounting support for our Financial Accountants opposite a single or range of markets ensuring that all of the departments responsibilities are delivered efficiently and effectively.
