Base79 (formerly myvideorights.com) is a small (c30 people) but very fast growing (805% year on year since 2009) venture capital backed Media/Technology company based in a central location next to the Southbank Centre in Waterloo, just back from the River Thames. We have offices in London and NYC and are about to open in Sydney, Australia and Continental Europe. Our clients include BBC, Football Association, Ministry of Sound and many leading Film and TV production companies and record companies. The atmosphere is relaxed but hard-working and dynamic. Client needs are paramount, everyone pitches in and there is a flat management structure. Due to the rapid expansion of the company, we are looking to hire a Management Accountant to assist the CFO in providing the Finance function to the global business. The role The role will be reporting to the CFO and will be responsible for: preparing draft monthly consolidated management accounts and reconciliations; liaising and managing relationships with External Bookkeepers and operations personnel in UK, US, Australia and Europe; regular reporting to owner’s of TV, music and film content; managing the company’s expenditure and revenue cycles; share options administration; HR administration – updating employment contracts, reviewing payslips, maintaining holiday balances, administration of childcare vouchers etc; assisting with year end preparation of statutory financial statements, notes and reconciliations; assisting with the...
