Inland Revenue
The Inland Revenue is the government department responsible to the Treasury for the collection of direct taxes. It is responsible for the administration of all tax regulations concerning individuals and employees, employers and businesses and corporations.
Primary responsibilities include the administration of:
- Income Tax
- Corporation Tax
- Capital Gains Tax
- Petroleum Revenue Tax
- Inheritance Tax
- National Insurance Contributions
- Stamp Duties
The Inland Revenue also ensures the payment of working tax credit, child tax benefit and child benefits. Additional services include ensuring all employers meet the National Minimum Wage rules, payroll giving, tax back and the collection of student loan repayments.
