Job description
My client is a globally, rapidly expanding organisation that has increased 10 fold in turnover in the last couple of years. It now has the need for a part-qualified or qualified by experience Accountant to join its company in its SW London offices in a mid to senior level role paying up to £40,000 plus an excellent benefits package (pension, life insurance, private healthcare, 25 days’ per annum holiday, study support if required). The position offers excellent variety including both management and financial reporting while supervising and motivating a small team. You will be in control of the day-to-day management of the Finance team to include: regular appraisals and training as needed (circa 5 staff); control of Associate Finance function; liaise with the Business Managers on financial information; liaising with key client contacts; ensure the accuracy of the cost of sales; posting journals to the TB; accruals and prepayments; maintenance of fixed asset register; calculate and post depreciation; management of the sales and purchase ledgers; preparation of the monthly balance sheet statements, P&L and trial balance; assisting with the preparation of the monthly board pack including commentary; involvement with year end audit; ad hoc reporting for other departments; support the group FC with maintaining financial controls. The department consists of strong dynamic individuals, keep to do well and work hard. The candidate will have to be similar and fit into this environment. You will have a similar background to the above working within a £8 million plus turnover company. The client has requested, it only wants to see candidates with a consultancy or recruitment background.
