Commercial Accountant

Power Train is a market leader responsible for some of the most innovative and successful customer experience training in the UK. We create business critical events that connect with frontline staff and their Managers emotionally, commercially and intellectually, shifting mindsets and changing behaviours.

Applying unique concepts such as ActNatural® and Total Reality®, we design and deliver large-scale, results-driven programmes to high profile national and multinational clients across the UK and Europe including Virgin Media, British Gas, Audi, and Northern Powergrid.

We are now seeking a Commercial Accountant who will play a wide-ranging and crucial role in promoting the financial health, commercial control and growth of this fast-moving results-driven organisation.

Based at our city centre office and reporting to the Commercial Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of management accounts, cash flow and P&L forecasts and presentation of to the Senior Management team.
  • Cash flow management, credit control, sales invoicing.
  • Monthly payroll processing for our head office team.
  • Pricing of proposals for new and existing clients.
  • Budgeting assignments and booking into financial and scheduling systems.
  • Preparing and sending assignment confirmations to clients.
  • Liaising with clients regarding purchase orders.
  • Working with our Bookkeeper to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Recommending and assisting with the implementation of systems improvements.

To meet the demands of the role, we need someone who is IT literate, experienced in Sage accounts and payroll software, Excel and, most importantly, is happy to be at the commercial heart of our business, working closely with our client services and office teams, and liaising regularly with clients.
