Job description
The Accountant will be a valued member of the Finance team and play a pivotal role in adding value to the business. Responsibilities:: the successful Accountant will be responsible for: involvement in weekly and month reporting processes including preparation of trading reports, intercompany balance reconciliations, review of control accounts, etc. Assistance with preparation of statutory accounts for UK based subsidiaries and the group. Help with corporation tax and VAT compliance. Development of group processes and controls. Mentoring junior staff and review of their work. Deal with queries from both finance and non finance staff. Other ad hoc tasks. Skills/experience: experience of UK GAAP and IFRS would be an advantage. Good communication skills and experience of working in a team environment within a large multi-office organisation. Have a flexible approach and be comfortable in a hands-on role, always looking at ways to develop the finance function. Professional qualifications: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified. Strong academic background.
