Job description
SME in Godalming is currently looking to add an Accountant to its team to support its growing business. Your background should ideally be in technology or business services. The role is an Accounting position encompassing a broad range of duties. The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable with a strong track record of achievement in previous roles. Skills required: strong reporting and analysis skills to prepare and self review a profit and loss; balance sheet and cash flow; balance sheet reconciliations; accrued income; accruals and prepayments journals; lease and hire purchase accounting; statutory year end accounting; credit control; payroll; VAT; recommendations and drive applicable policies and procedures; understand ‘dimension’ or ‘segmented’ accounts for analysis; cover for other Accountant. Ideal: knowledge of Microsoft Navision, Great Plains, Axapta or SageJob or timesheet driven business part-qualified or equivalent/graduate with work experience; advanced Excel; understanding of workflow approvals and document management; interest in latest GAAP standards SQL or ODBC understanding would be beneficial.
