Job description
Due to continued expansion over the past twelve months, my client is recruiting for an Accountant to join them at their Head Office in Hitchin. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and committed part-qualified or Finalist ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Accountant or a QBE Accountant looking for a fresh challenge within a fast paced environment. Reporting to the CFO, you will assume responsibility for the company's day to day financial accounting practices, and ensure that all commercial activity is properly accounted for with respect to revenues, expenses and overheads. Duties will include: inter company reconciliations; cash flow management; multi-currency accounting; produce the trial balance to strict deadlines; ensuring accounting systems are up to date and all transactions are properly recorded; maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of the Finance team at all times; audit lead schedule preparation; maintaining assets and liabilities information; insurance management; VAT; compliance; line responsibility for Finance team. Will also include overseeing areas such as payroll, credit control, petty cash and staff expenses. You will ideally be ACA, ACCA, or CIMA part-qualified with effective delegation skills with the ability to develop and motivate staff. The successful candidate will possess strong commercial experience, with a dynamic outlook and strong interpersonal skills.
