Project Accountant
Aukett Fitzroy Robinson, a leading international practice of architects and interior designers, is seeking an enthusiastic and diligent Project Accountant to provide maternity cover within the UK Finance team based in Kings Cross, London.
Reporting to the UK Finance Manager, the role encompasses all aspects of the project accounting cycle form the creation and maintenance of project accounting files, maintaining the timesheet and revenue recognition systems, liaison with Project Directors, month end posting of revenue adjustments, report generation and variance analysis.
The Project Accountant is also responsible for maintaining the sales ledger, issuing invoices including expense recharges, credit control activities, and posting related entries to the accounting system.
Candidates must have previous experience in a similar role, with extensive hands-on practical knowledge of long-term project accounting, ideally in a professional services environment.
Candidates must have an excellent telephone manner, be highly organised with good record keeping, and be very proactive/self-motivated. IT literacy is important with proficiency on Microsoft Office and experience of accounting systems being required (experience in using Sage 200 would be advantageous). Candidates should be comfortable communicating with staff and clients at all levels.
