Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an international, leading Media brand in Central London. Due to business growth the company is recruiting a part-qualified Accountant to join its Finance team on a 6 month contract, with the potential to go permanent. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be assisting in maintaining the accounting records and managing the preparation of financial and management accounts for a number of operating companies and start up projects. You will be responsible for managing the financial ledgers and ensuring the transactions are posted correctly. You will also post the journals, accruals and prepayments to the accounts and manage the fixed assets register. You will also ensure VAT is accounted for and ensure expenses is paid accurately. Additionally you will also support the Finance Manager with the monthly management accounts, support the annual budget process and monitor the actual performance against budget. You will also assist with the statutory accounts and liaise with the External Auditors. The successful candidate will be degree qualified and either CIMA, ACCA or ACA part-qualified. Your CV must demonstrate general accounting experience including maintenance of financial ledgers and posting of transactions. Previous experience of producing statutory accounts and budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience and VAT is a must. This is an immediate requirement so immediately available candidates will be preferred.
