Job description

The company:

Creating safe and vibrant communities that enhance people’s safety and quality of life. Providing a wide range of housing solutions that enable communities to grow and thrive. That’s our vision here at Stafford and Rural Homes. An innovative social landlord and registered charity, we manage 5,600 homes across Stafford and actively provide high quality services to our tenants. What’s more, with a progressive Organisational Development Strategy in place we’re not just strengthening communities, we’re also building our business and providing exciting career opportunities.

The role:

Liaising closely with Operational Managers in our Stock Investment Directorate, you’ll act as a Business Partner and provide high quality information and financial guidance. Able to monitor budgets and performance you must also produce accurate monthly management accounts to Managers, highlighting financial performance against agreed performance indicators. With the ability to identify efficiencies and suggest opportunities for improvement, you’ll also work with our Stock Investment Management team, contribute to our annual statutory accounts and oversee financial appraisals and benchmarking.

What we’re looking for:

The vital nature of this role means it’s essential that you hold a CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent Accountancy qualification. With a good track record in budgetary management, you’ll have first-class financial procedures knowledge and be adept at handling complex computerised systems. Able to deploy proven VAT, IFRS and SSAP knowledge, you’ll be a strong team player and communicator who can prioritise your workload effectively while successfully using your initiative in a variety of situations.
