Job description
A capable Accountant required for successful Shropshire business, drive forward reporting and improve analysis to facilitate business growth. Due to growth, this established and diverse family business is seeking a technically strong Accountant to join them, initially for a period of 6 months, but with a view to a permanent appointment should the role prove successful. The business is entrepreneurial and responsive to sound business opportunities as well as being respected in a number of key markets. This is a new appointment, planned to assist the future success of the company and support the FD in their role. Responsibilities will include preparing the full year end accounts and liaising with the Auditors and preparing month end accounts for each business stream. IT skills will be critical, in particular knowledge of Sage Line 200 would be an advantage, to optimise the use of the systems and develop business reporting. There will be plenty of scope for a proactive, hardworking individual to add value to the business and make improvements.
