Job description
A multi-award winning City based PR agency whose portfolio of projects includes major food retailers and gaming manufacturers is looking for a qualified Accountant to join its expanding Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of consolidated information and the preparation, delivery and review of entity based information. Principle responsibilities of the Accountant: preparation of the annual entity based and consolidated financial statements including primary statements and associated notes and supporting documentation, prepares reconciliations and reports, prepare journals, provide analytics on movements and explain nature of balances; prepare/review financial analysis within the CFO reports; actively manage the work flows of the various participants in the accounts preparation process to produce, review and report, in tight timescales on a group, legal entities and other reporting requirements; participate in accounts review discussions with senior management and members of the executive as necessary; responsible for making changes to documents and facilitating timely reviews, query investigation and resolution, ensuring approval and signature of statutory and other financial reporting information; provide support for ad hoc tasks as required, including office of national statistics forms; provide day-to-day support to the permanent Financial and Senior Financial Accountants as and where required. Requirements: qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent (first time passes), with some post qualification audit and accounting experience; proactive approach, positive and flexible attitude, ability to work as part of a team; knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP requirements.
