Job description
My client, an international Asset and Wealth Management organisation within the Private Equity industry, now seeks an Accountant to join its Accounting team based in Zug, Switzerland due to a recent re-structuring of the department. In this challenging role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely input of the accounting entries of various companies including the month end closing, daily input and intercompany reconciliations. You will also be required to build a relationship with the Auditors, answering audit questions and ensure a timely sign off of the audit process within the defined deadline. Other elements of this role will also include preparing year end financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement and notes under US/Swiss GAAP and IFRS. You will also be the key interface to the Swiss Tax Authorities. The role also encompasses other duties such as accounting related project work and process documentation. The position is based in Zug. The successful candidate will have completed an accounting qualification combined with professional experience in accounting, preferably gained in the financial industry. Sound numerical and analytical skills combined with the ability to operate within a continuously evolving environment put you in an excellent position for this diverse role. You are a flexible team player but also enjoy working independently, paying attention to detail and maintaining accuracy under pressure. As this role deals with companies around the globe the successful candidate must be a proficient English and German speaker.
