Job description
The client is looking to bring on somebody who has just began their accountancy qualification or is at the pre-study stage, who can grow with the company & carry on their study with them. The role will be split between the Corporate & Fund areas the candidate will report to the Group Accountant on a day-to-day basis & to the Head of Fund Reporting for Fund matters. The role involves exposure to purchase ledger, cash & liquidity management & key accounting tasks. There will also be an element of supporting the team during the year end audit. Duties: purchase ledger & expenses; responsible for purchase ledger for overhead expenses & assisting with cheque run; managing the foreign currency float & reconciliations; managing employee cash expenses; running reports from the SUN accounts system on an ad hoc basis. Banking - assisting with daily cashbooks for the corporate entities & posting to the SUN accounts system; assisting with drawdowns from investors; preparation of urgent, often complex payments; banking administration. Administration - assistance with preparation of quarterly investment review packs; assisting with departmental administration; assisting with preparation for the year end audit & Auditor queries. Requirements: ability to communicate with a wide range of people; experience of working in a multi-currency environment; attention to detail, organised, conscientious; flexible, can-do attitude; confident, able to use own initiative & take a proactive approach.
