Job description
The Change Group is recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join a reputable set of fashionable apartment chains based in Central London. This company is well established with operations not just in the UK but also abroad. A position has become available to work closely with the Head Accountant in a busy, fast-paced environment. In order to be considered for this position previous experience within property, lettings or the hotel industry is essential and someone on a short notice period is desirable. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company and increase your property accounting skills and increase them in a more challenging, varied role! Someone available on a short notice would be desirable but not essential. Responsibilities include: allocating payments; raising sales invoices; matching, batching and coding purchase ledger invoices; managing the petty cash and expense systems Bank and intercompany reconciliations; calculating VAT returns on a quarterly basis; daily banking; checking incoming payments; journals; dealing with guest queries or complaints in a friendly, timely and professional manner. You will be a fast learner with confident Excel skills who has excellent communication skills as you will be speaking to different landlords, tenants as well as internal staff. Previous experience within a front of house position combined with an accounting role would be advantageous. Please quote the reference given/job title in the subject line of your email.
