Job description
Robert Half International is currently working with a Retail and Distribution organisation based in South Manchester which, due to the nature of its product, is a global market leader. Our client is based in prestigious offices with onsite parking but is close to public transport links. The Accounts Assistant will report directly to the Management Accountant and will be work within a team of 3 other Accounts Assistants. You’ll be responsible for your own section of the ledger and will complete the end-to-end process of the purchase ledger, processing up to 200 invoices per week, making weekly payments, completing supplier statement reconciliations and dealing with queries. You will also be involved in commission calculations, processing expenses and also being responsible for monitoring incoming payments against finance agreements and reconciling the accounts daily. The team has quite a dynamic, energetic and work hard, play hard culture, so you must be able to fit into that. You must have a previous background in purchase ledger and ideally will have used JD Edwards and Excel. This role is to start from the 6th September, so only those on short notice will be considered. Salary on offer is £7 - £8 per hour. It is a 6 months temporary role with a potential permanent option in the new year.
