Job description
Recognised as one of Oxford's leading employers our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to work within Banking and Controls. Part of a small but friendly team duties will include: liaising with the banks uploading statements, resolving receipts and payment queries that arise; verifying bank charges and monitoring cash; liaising with other departments to include cashiers and accounts payable to resolve any receipts and payment queries that may arise; reconciling the variety of bank accounts; preparing reconciliation reports; transferring funds to/from investment accounts; preparation of cash flow reporting; assisting in the process of investment and transactions within Foreign Currency; process inter account transfers as required. You will have experience of carrying out bank reconciliation procedures, dealing with queries using your initiative to resolve these. Confidence in using accounting and bank reconciliation systems. A confident communicator who is bright, adaptable and hard working with the desire to be part of a team. The ability to manage diverse workloads, work under pressure and meet deadlines. This excellent opportunity would give you a wide range of experience and in time support you in personal growth and development. Initially on a 3 month contract the role is expected to go permanent.
