Job description

An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced accounts payable with Sage Line 500 to join our client, a leading media organisation based in Central London. Key responsibilities of the accounts payable job will include: pre check the invoices to see if they have an approved purchase order; send the invoice to the purchase order raiser for authorising the receipt of the services or goods; post the invoices to the relevant ledgers; all the invoices with the authorised signatures are scanned into the system; reconcile the supplier statement and get it authorised from the AP Manager before processing the payment; all payments including BACS, cheques and E cash need to be authorised by the company designated signatories; the remittance advice for the payment is sent to the relevant supplier; creditors ageing report with comments on over aged invoices are sent to the AP/Finance Manager at the month end. The ideal accounts payable office will possess the following attributes/skills: Sage Line 500/DDS; experience accounts payable experience; ability to work in a busy environment.
