Job description

My client is a thriving Retail business with a lively and energetic atmosphere that is looking to recruit a year long maternity cover. You will assist with the running of the Accounts Payable department, providing adequate cover of the department in the Managers absence. Key deliverables: ensuring that all invoices are logged, processed, paid and allocated within the agreed terms & conditions and with relevant product code information supplied; ensuring that all debit notes are processed, tracked and deducted, also ensuring monthly reconciliations are completed; notification to Suppliers where payment cannot be made within the agreed terms and conditions of payment; ensure all suppliers payment terms are managed, ensuring all discounts and deductions are made accordingly; ensuring that the line Manager has been alerted of any urgent supplier requests for payment ie Final Demands and County Court Letters; maintain payment schedule for review by the Accounts Payable Manager & Financial Controller; oversee and maintain Trade, Overheads, Purchase order and GRN registers; ensure that all Cost Price Amendments and Fining forms are received, processed and deducted on a timely basis; supplier Retro Discount reconciliations; supervise a team of up to 6 AP staff and deputise for the AP Manager when required. The candidate: educated to GCSE Level or equivalent; Accounts Payable experience preferably with manual AP function on stock accounts; supervisory experience required; attention to detail.
