Job description
Eden Scott’s client a well established Financial Services organisation is now looking to recruit an Analyst to its Finance Methodology team. The methodology team are responsible for defining and delivering key business processes, controls and MI for the finance and actuarial systems. The main role of the team is for the specification and review of calculations used throughout the company with a focus on key features, post sale information and annual statements. The role: production and maintenance of calculation specifications which are used for through various business units; ensure all calculations specified comply with regulations; liaise with other areas of the business to ensure systems used for calculations is accurate and efficient; support the testing for changes of the calculations systems. Experience/background: experience in a mathematically analytical role with a focus on calculation specifications; knowledge and understanding of the concept of calculations; an exposure to project related disciplines and processes would be an advantage; ability to liaise with stakeholders at various levels, explaining complex financial information to non-finance staff; degree qualified with a part qualification in Actuarial would be an advantage; experience of testing calculation specifications useful.
