Job description
Our client, a well-known Retail business based in Central London, is currently seeking a qualified Accountant to join its vibrant company. Your role as the Finance Business Partner/Analyst will see you working closely with the Sales & Marketing Directors, and playing an integral part of the Finance team. This is a really exciting opportunity for a commercially astute Accountant looking for a challenging role and the opportunity to develop their strategic expertise. Key responsibilities: business partnering with Sales & Marketing Directors and reporting to the FD, planning, forecasting and promotion investment analysis, communicating to management periodic purchase price variance results including explanation of variances, creation of year end estimates of spends and purchase price variances, supporting the European Marketing Director in driving clarity on the efficiency and effectiveness of advertising and promotions investments, building business case models, basket analysis and price banding to identify historic and current buying trends and target key price points, manage and make improvements to monthly pack of board reports with key commentary on channels, regions, store types, product categories, marketing promotions, staff incentives and new initiatives, regular ad hoc projects. Candidate required: qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA, strong analytical background from retail/well established business, business partnering with sales/marketing, Financial modelling, progressive, ambitious and energetic, think outside the box.
