Job description
My client, one of the world's leading brewers is looking for an Analyst within the Corporate Finance and Development (CFD) division. This department exists to prepare and advise the Group on acquisition strategy, implement and negotiate appropriate transactions. Based in Johannesburg you will report to the CFD Director for Africa and Asia. You will support this team by providing key information on transactions and undertaking a broad involvement in wide-reaching Corporate Finance matters, including; competitor reviews, industry research, valuations, due diligence support, transaction analysis, equity placings, debt raisings and general M&A project support. You will ideally be a qualified Chartered Accountant, some experience in Corporate Finance, excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to travel frequently. Your requirements: strong analytical and technical skills, background in or understanding of investment banking or transactional services, the ability to assist in due diligence (operational, commercial, financial and legal perspectives) of a target organisation and with feasibility analyses, a good understanding of Capital Markets. Knowledge of Stock Exchange requirements and regulations. There is career progression within the company, however, the candidate must show commitment to M&A and corporate finance and should expect to spend at least 3 years within CFD. This role would ideally suit a South African national, or permanent resident.
