Job description
Our client is a wealthy owner/investor with an impressive real estate portfolio in Central London. The role is for a part-qualified Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis to take responsibility for all tenant deposit transactions and reconciliations; electronic banking; all bank reconciliations and processing ad hoc electronic bank transactions. The role: preparing the quarterly board pack information including bank balances, borrowings, and derivative contract information; being the principle point of contact with banks in relation to day-to-day transactional issues; assisting with the development and implementation of the project to migrate from weekly cheque runs to BACS payments; assisting the Management Accounts team with preparation of quarterly board reporting and year end accounts files for audit; organising and recording all tenant deposit money transfers; preparing the weekly bank reconciliations for approximately 10 bank accounts; organising and recording intra group money transfers; coding and checking ad hoc electronic payments; responsible for monthly reconciliation of all tenant deposit and sinking fund accounts, and production of a report pack. The person: to apply you must have worked in property with a strong understanding of accounting principles and will need to take a hands-on approach to ensure postings are correct and that reconciliations are timely and accurate; ideally you will be a part-qualified Accountant and will form part of a well-established accounts team, with significant company-based knowledge upon which the candidate may draw.
