Job description

The purpose of this role is to work as part of a small team to provide an accounting support function for the Liverpool Produce Terminal (LPT) Distribution Centre. You will report to the Financial Accountant and be responsible for accurate and timely transaction processing, balance sheet reconciliations as well as reporting and analysing operational efficiency information.

LPT has been established since 2008 and is now owned by the Fresca Group, we are the largest privately owned fresh produce distributor in the UK with a current group turnover in the region of £350 million.

You will need to be AAT qualified, part-qualified CIMA/ACCA or qualified by experience for this role along with a working knowledge of management accounting. A study package is available.

Main accountabilities
  • Ensure that all processing is completed in time for month end.
  • Reconcile company bank accounts regularly.
  • Compile daily and weekly production and warehouse scorecard information.
  • Value consignments to enable accurate reporting on profit.
  • Responsible for the accurate completion of monthly expenditure analysis.
  • Assist in completion of the year end accounting pack.
  • Accurate processing of supplier invoices and employee expenses.
