Job description
Our client is a leading international Professional Services organisation with its' head office based at Liverpool Street. It has an opening for a strong Assistant Accountant to join its Finance department of around 10 staff on a 12 month maternity cover contract. This is predominantly a financial accounting role, including intercompany accounting, VAT reporting (often complex including foreign requirements and adjustments), balance sheet control and compliance work. You must therefore be able to demonstrate good accounting skills as well as strong commercial and Excel skills (at least to intermediate level). You are likely to have experience within a larger organisation and will probably be a part-qualified ACCA or CIMA studier. As this role requires liaison from junior to Executive Director level, you must be professional and have excellent communications skills. Our client offers a bonus, pension and other benefits despite this being a contract, and a superb working environment.
