Job description
A highly successful independent merchant banking group based in the City of London, whom are amongst the 200 largest companies by market capitalisation listed on the LSE. Are seeking an Assistant Accountant within their Group Finance department. This role will involve working closely with the Company Accountant, as well as supervising a Purchase Ledger Clerk. Main responsibilities will include: daily recording of cashbook payments. Preparation of month end cash flow analysis. Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations. Checking the coding and costing of invoices by Purchase Ledger Clerk. Essential criteria: AAT qualified Accountant and now pursuing ACCA or CIMA. Proficient with running a Purchase Ledger. Confident with bookkeeping and double entry principles.
