Job description
Morgan McKinley is currently recruiting a temporary Assistant Accountant. This role is based in Trafford Park. The role will last for about 6-8 weeks. This role is working in a small Finance function & you will be ultimately responsible for assisting with the general & nominal ledger, along with assisting with the month end management accounts. The duties involved are: maintenance of the sales ledger, invoicing & cash posting; Intrastat reporting; assisting in month/quarter end reporting & analysis; general journals, accruals & ad hoc reporting; bank reconciliation; prepayments; cash flow forecasting. This role would ideally suit an AAT qualified or equivalent, Assistant Accountant. If you are currently studying towards the intermediate level of ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, this would also be considered. It is essential that you can demonstrate the above skills, & have done intrastat reporting. Ideally you will have worked in a small Finance function where you will have been involved in an all-round accounts role. You’ll be/have: a high level of accuracy & attention to detail; logical & methodical approach to tasks; ability to prioritise & multi-task on both individual & team tasks. You must have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, excellent time management with tasks & attendance. You’ll be a motivated & committed person. You must have advanced level of Excel & ideally have worked on Navision. The role is paying between £10.00-£13.00 per hour plus holiday pay.
