Job description
My client, an international retail company, requires an Assistant Accountant to support the Management Accountant in meeting the current and future demands of the business. Liaising with US head office. Key accountabilities of the role will include: preparing complex accruals and prepayments; variance analysis; liaising with Cost Centre Managers in assisting with the preparation of monthly cost centre reports and commentary; assisting with budgeting and forecasting; and assisting in the preparation of information for the year end audit. Experience of accruals, prepayments, general ledger systems and posting of journals is essential, along with strong Excel skills (formulas and look ups) and the ability to analyse and interpret financial data. SAP experience would be desirable. You will be ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or QBE. You will receive study support in this role.
