Job description
The key purpose of this role is to provide a full range of accounting, budgeting, and treasury related services so that the Finance Manager is adequately supported in ensuring financial probity, integrity of financial systems and financial governance. In this role you will support the management/financial accounting functions as well as treasury – which come under Local Government guidelines. The role will involve managing 4 finance officers and will support the Finance Manager in their day-to-day duties. Requirements: experience of Financial and Management accounting ideally from a Local Government corporate setting; knowledge of Local Government treasury preferred; strong people skills as well as staff management.
