Job description
Premier Foods is the UK's largest Food Producer, seeks to attract an accomplished Assistant Financial Accountant to join an established team based in Central Manchester. This role has been created as a result of the company’s Irish Accounts function being moved into the UK Shared Service Centre in Manchester. The department’s purpose is to ensure the integrity of the company’s financial statements through the development and enforcement of robust processes and controls. You will be responsible for the production of the financial accounts for the grocery division, preparing month end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and all associated reporting and analysis. You will also provide financial information for group and statutory reporting including preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts. Ideally you will be a career-minded part-qualified Accountant seeking to make a long-term move into a large corporate. You must be studying towards a recognised finance qualification AAT/CIMA/ACCA. You must have good attention to detail and possess a strong knowledge of financial controls and processes.
