Job description
Our client is a global organisation with operations in over 60 countries, specialising in the production and distribution of several leading Beverage Brands commonly known in the market. It is in need of an Assistant Financial Accountant to provide a complete financial accounting service to the head office group of companies. Job description: controlling the monthly accounts in accordance with IFRS; liaising with Internal/External Auditors regarding processes and controls and the year end audit (including preparation of statutory accounts), approximately 100 bank accounts to be reconciled; quarterly VAT returns, approximately 80 intra company reconciliations per month; recharge of approximately 900 mobile phones; monthly Amex travel journal to individual cost centres. Skills and experience: part-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience; multicurrency experience; previous experience of financial accounting in a corporate entity; excellent practical experience of bank reconciliations; prior hands-on knowledge of VAT useful; SAP essential.
