Job description
CMA has been approached to recruit for a newly created Assistant Financial Controller position on behalf of our highly successful niche service and retail sector client based in Poole. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, this is a newly created position due to continued internal restructuring and continued success and business growth. A fantastic opportunity for an organised and committed individual to join an interesting and diverse business, you will be responsible for the day control and smooth running of the Finance function together with supervisory responsibly for a small team. Responsibilities will include: daily banking; multi currency reconciliations, cash flow forecasting; reconciliation of complex intercompany transactions within the Group; preparation of month end journals; maintenance of the fixed asset register; statutory year end accounts preparation; production of budgets; managing invoice discounting and liaising with the banks. You will also be required to present management reports and analysis of the financials to the Directors and senior management team, therefore a confident and professional manner is essential. Intermediate to advanced Excel and experience of an ERP system would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be part-qualified CCAB or QBE and have solid track record of accountancy experience gained ideally from multiple industry sectors including FMCG/retail/distribution in both owner managed SMEs and larger corporate.
