Job description
A FMCG Manufacturing group seeks a confident and experienced Assistant Financial Controller. With responsibility for preparation of the management accounts for the specific site, supporting the FC locally, you will enjoy an interesting balance of routine and ad hoc reporting. You will work extremely closely with the Production team and enjoy being visible to non-finance Managers across the business both at this site and others (UK wide) where needed. You will be: able to assist in ensuring robust internal controls exist at site and be able to support members of the transactional Finance team; able to assist in identifying cost reduction opportunities alongside the Operational team; confident and aware enough to undertake proactive analysis on a project basis; involved in budgeting and forecasting; integral in assisting the FC to ensure the integrity of weekly/monthly/annual reporting. The role is best suited to a CIMA/ACCA part/qualified candidate with the drive and ambition to step into FC role. You must be keen to learn and develop but have a firm track record ideally at Management Accountant level within a fast-paced business.
