Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified Accountant to join the Management Accounting team at Chello Zone. This is a new position created following business growth.

Chello Zone is an international broadcaster with a growing portfolio of channels including the branded CBS channels in the UK, the Food Network channel, and the Extreme Sports Channel. Globally, Chello Zone channels are broadcasted in 126 countries and 23 languages.

Chello Zone is a business unit of international media company Chellomedia, the European content division of Liberty Global Inc.

The main responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts with responsibility for specific accruals and prepayments, programme inventory for individual channels and resolution of intercompany mismatches.
  • Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley (Sarbanes-Oxley) controls.
  • Assist with monthly balance sheet reviews.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and workings for interim and full year audits.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified Accountant.
  • Strong Excel skills essential.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle (11i) desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels of the organisation.
