Job description
Hudson together with a large NHS Acute Trust based in London is in need of an experienced Assistant Management Accountant. Key responsibilities: assist with all Management Accounting responsibilities, providing monthly budget statements and financial reports; assist with the delivery of monthly management accounts and the production of monthly forecasts; provide guidance and training on budgetary management; investigate variances from plan and ensure action on changes required is taken; maintain the ledger by assessing the need for accrual, prepayment, correction and budget journals; other ad hoc projects as required. It is essential for you to have a background of working within the NHS. You will be liaising with budget holders on a daily basis, therefore strong communication skills are vital in this role. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, able to work and communicate well with both finance and non-finance staff, and will have a strong commitment to proactive and continuous development and improvement of their areas of work.
