Job description
A successful and high profile SME business in Sheffield is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Reporting to the FD, you will be responsible for the following duties: prepare timely and reliable monthly management reporting pack; reconciliation of intercompany balances within the Group; cash flow forecasting; investigate overhead variances against budgets; provide ad hoc variance analysis; supervise a small team of Ledger Clerks; process VAT returns and Government statistical returns; maintain fixed asset register; reconcile expenses payments; bank reconciliations. This will be an extremely varied role which will give extensive exposure to the various aspects of management accounting. Full study support will be provided and you will be given the opportunity to both develop and progress through the company. Ideally you will have a 2:1 or higher degree pass in an accounting related degree or be AAT qualified. You will be currently studying towards CIMA/ACCA and have experience working with management accounts.
