Job description

I am currently working on behalf of my client whom is looking to recruit to their Audit and Accounts team based in Swindon (Wiltshire). Person specification: you will be ACA, ACCA qualified or have equivalent experience with a background gained within accountancy Practice, able to demonstrate a strong ability to meet client and statutory deadlines, provide a high quality service, WIP process management, budgeting and experienced in leading statutory audits with knowledge of IFRS, overseas reporting and leading audits for SMEs and other organisations; you will be looking to develop and progress in your audit career post qualification in a leading firm environment. Job description: you will look to provide a high quality service to clients in respect of various financial reporting and statutory requirements, supervise and guide junior team members and represent the firm in a professional and efficient manner; you will lead audits and be responsible for assistants within the Audit team to ensure delivery within agreed timetable; preparation and audit of statutory accounts manages workload to ensure all tasks are completed according to deadlines and budgets set; liaising with clients to ensure that information is received in sufficient time to prepare accounts and complete the audit preparation and management of assignment budgets and costs; able to carry out ad hoc assignments with assistance Investigates all audit issues to arrive at a proposal or solution; take responsibility for own workload and performance indicators To identify opportunities for additional work/cross selling; develop assistants in the team by on-the-job training, directing and supervising their work.
