Job description

This Big 4 Chartered Accountancy firm has fast expanding Middle market group, dedicated to servicing clients from small listed group to medium sized companies. As an Assistant Manager you will be planning, leading, supervising, statutory reporting & completion work. Duties: supervising & mentoring junior staff keeping Line Managers & partners up-to-date with progress; liaising with clients undertaking work at client’s premises. Knowledge & experience required for this role includes: auditing (as an 'in-charge' or 'Assistant'); experience of systems/control testing as well as substantive auditing including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts & disclosures; understanding the bigger picture as well as auditing individual balances; good working knowledge of UK accounting standards US GAAP experience; well-developed supervisory skills eg coaching & motivation; good project management techniques, analytical skills, time management, organisation & evaluative skills; proven research skills eg information seeking & knowledge sharing, understanding & interpreting information/applying knowledge; proven communication skills; have a sound track record in meeting deadlines & demonstrate effectiveness within a team environment. The successful candidate will need a strong track record of Medium to large size audit; be ACA/ACCA qualified with a good exam record, & possess the desire to progress their career within a well-respected firm.
