Job description
Our client is a global Top 10 accountancy and business advisory firm. A full range of accounting, taxation and advisory services are provided to a vast range of companies including multi-national Blue Chip organisations. Our client is seeking an Audit Manager to join their team, to provide assistance to Partners in both client work and in the management of the group, and on occasions the wider firm. Responsibilities will include: acting as a major point of contact within the firm for the client together with the Partner; respond quickly to, as well as anticipating, client requests/needs; responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of clients; build and maintain strong relationships with clients at senior levels, and develop a strong commercial understanding of the clients businesses; complete assignments within agreed budgets and timescales and identify opportunities for additional billings; ensure assignments are staffed with the appropriate mix of knowledge and skills required; focus on Business Development by identifying and converting opportunities to sell work; recruit, retain, develop and motivate our employees; act as an ambassador of the firm, participating in office marketing events, keeping abreast of the wide range of service the firm offers; act as a role model for trainees and executives. The successful candidate will ideally be ACA qualified (or overseas equivalent) degree/CTS level educated with previous experience of managing people. You will have good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements; working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice and regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering; experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures; project management experience; experience with listed clients is desirable but not essential.
