Job description
Our client is a significant multi-site business operating across Europe and with an exceptional customer base. The climate is progressive and current initiatives are providing a platform to further enhance market competitive advantage. Reporting to a European based Head of Audit and managing a team of qualified Accountants, the UK Audit Manager has a pivotal role balancing the need to maintain audit independence (and report accordingly) with delivering added value to senior UK Finance Management who has an ambitious strategic agenda. An experienced professional is sought to influence and direct the actions necessary to enhance the risk and control framework across a variety of autonomous, customer focused operational units and the supporting HO functions. In addition there is a strong relationship with External Audit and, as a result, the team undertake periodic, and critical, reviews of the financial statements of each business unit. This is relied upon in the statutory audit. You will be ACA or ACCA qualified, technically up-to-date, and seeking a move into industry. You will be able to hold your own in discussion with the senior leaders, be an influencer of others, action orientated and be an exceptional relationship builder. This role can be based anywhere in the North.
