Job description

A Big 4 firm based in Reading is looking for a Pension Assurance Senior Auditor to join its busy team. With over 350 Partners and staff, this office serves a wide industry mix. Our clients range from fast growing new start-ups to quoted public companies and major multinationals. The pensions assurance group is a specialist team with a broad range of occupational pension scheme clients from the FTSE 100 to smaller schemes and offers an insight in to the Investment Management industry. This is an opportunity to work in a highly topical area dealing with issues which are currently at the top of company’s agendas. Essential skills: qualified or part-qualified ACA's (or equivalent); solid UK auditing experience; strong A-Level results if no degree; strong broad ranging audit experience including planning, controlling and completing a diverse range of assignments; ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levels; a proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationship; a proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions. Desirable skills: degree qualified (2:1 desired) or have taken part in a trainee scheme with a Chartered Accountancy firm; possession of strong team working skills; gained experience supervising and developing junior staff; demonstrable ability to take responsibility and use initiative; experience/interest in the UK Pensions industry.
