Job description
My client is seeking to recruit an Audit Senior to join the Cardiff Audit team. This role requires a qualified ACA or ACA part-qualified candidate, with relevant experience, to work within this busy team providing our clients with specialist knowledge and experience. This will include planning and carrying out audit fieldwork, statutory reporting and completion work, along with general accounting compliance work. Prospective candidate will possess: professional accounting qualification (ACA qualified or part-qualified); experience working in an Audit team; experience of working on group audits and preparing consolidated financial statements; experience of working in a practice environment; experience and specialist knowledge of the ‘Not for Profit’ sector; experience of working with both financial and non-finance people; experience of working in a dynamic, fast changing environment; experience of working on cross-functional teams/projects; a willingness to travel and work at client sites; experience and business knowledge of the South Wales region. Main responsibilities: liaising with internal and external stakeholders; plan audit assignments, identifying risks and designing tests to adequately address these; acting as in-charge in completion of audit fieldwork, ensuring testing performed is adequately documented and completed within the allocated time; maintaining up-to-date knowledge of UK.
