Job description
An Audit Supervisor is required to work for Top 20 Practice based in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity based within the Business Support team. Rewards attached to this position are £52,000 per year plus excellent benefits. This team provides clients with a full spectrum of accounting and back office services, including VAT compliance, bookkeeping, accounts preparation management accounting budgeting and forecasting. The purpose of this role is to provide a high quality service to clients in respect of the preparation and audit of statutory accounts and on occasions and other ad hoc assignments, and responsible for reviewing audit and accounts assignments prior to be passed onto partners. Duties will include: responsible for managing the audit process, including budgets, experience in company accounts disclosure, legislation and application in practice; demonstrate a good working knowledge of UK GAAP, and/or IFRS; complete job appraisals for all audit/accounts jobs; manage Audit teams on specific assignments, with specific line management responsibility for a group of junior staff; identify internal control processes and communicating weaknesses to management where necessary; participate in the preparation of internal presentations/training courses. You will be: a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent or by experience); relevant experience gained in a similar Accounts Manager role, ideally from a Top 30 firm; good knowledge of financial reporting standards both UK and international; previous exposure working knowledge of PROaudit and other automated audit software.
