Job description
Growing reputable established firm in Yorkshire looking for an External Auditor, Systems Auditor and Financial Accountant to join its existing Finance team in Wakefield. This is a newly created role which will involve some international travel within Europe and beyond therefore to apply for this role you must be a British Passport holder or be able to travel legally to countries outside of the UK without sponsorship. Key objective: to establish and enforce accounting systems, policies and procedures and ensure they conform to generally accepted accounting policies; to support the FD and represent the FD in their absence; to perform internal audits within the Group; the implementation, management and maintenance of clear and strong financial controls to ensure good stewardship and administration of the company's assets. Key personal qualities: mature, professional approach; good communication skills at all levels; self-motivated and results-orientated; flexible and adaptable. Key requirements: recognised accounting qualification; good understanding of UK GAAP; knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems; knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards would be preferred. Key relationships: Directors; Finance staff; Group Financial Management; Auditors.
