Job description
This role can be based anywhere in the North. Our client is a significant multi site business operating across Europe and with an exceptional customer base. The climate is one of expansion and current initiatives are providing a platform to further enhance the market competitive advantage that already exists. Your responsibilities will include assessing key business risks across the organisation, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending solutions. This aspect of the role is integral to enhancing the risk and control framework. With system and process development ongoing, together with a continuing innovation programme, this role is integral to enhancing the risk and control framework throughout the organisation. Routine this is not, operating from a blank sheet of paper it often is. Equally importantly, and working with the External Auditors, you will also perform periodic financial and balance sheet reviews. Working under your own initiative will be paramount to success. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for their move out of practice, or for an individual who is already in a similar role. You will be ACA or ACCA qualified, with a background in audit and risk. You will comfortable in working in a fast-paced business and have excellent team working and communication skills. Career opportunities are strong and the function is seen as a talent pool for the business.
Please note, it is unlawful to employ a person in a UK-based job who does not have permission to live and work in the UK. You should make yourself aware of how immigration laws apply to your situation before applying for any jobs. (Refer: Home Office Website).
This position is being advertised by an employment business in the case of temporary positions and an employment agency in the case of permanent positions.
