Job description

For this leading FMCG organisation, you will be responsible for: ensuring the company balance sheet accurately reflects relevant transactions; the fixed asset register is accurately maintained; the generation of capital expenditure reports; projections & movements & value added projections & movements. Specific duties: production & review balance sheet account reconciliations, including acquisition holding account; property provision accounts; dilapidations provision accounts; intercompany accounts; accruals & prepayment accounts; fixed asset accounts; production & distribution of capital expenditure reports tracking spend vs budget & forecast & against relevant capital expenditure request; generation of quarter & capital accruals; to assist in preparation of statutory accounts & dormant company’s ‘strike off’ process; accounting for group company & associated activities; ensuring ‘profit share’ activities are correctly recorded in the general ledger; to review acquisition completion accounts to ensure accuracy & ensure opening balances correctly reflect in group balance sheet; to input into budget & forecast; to track movements in company value added, develop standard reports for internal stakeholders & explain material variances etc. Requirement: technically strong, highly motivated & self-driven qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA; good working knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP; IT literate with strong communication skills & eligible to live & work in the UK; management experience preferred.
