Job description
An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced, qualified Accountant to join our client, an international bank that has growing offices in Manchester. You will be qualified in either ACA, CIMA, ACCA with PQE and have worked in a large Financial Services business; experience in UK GAAP and also US GAAP; deadline driven with effective time management skills; leadership and management. Description: manage, develop and motivate the Accounting team to deliver best-in-class accounting services; foster excellent, collaborative, working relationship with decision support and other Finance teams; provide support for finance-wide initiatives, including Peoplesoft implementation, Blackline and IFRS; oversee and control the monthly close process; strive for satisfactory balance of control and efficiency by considering alternative locations for different functions; ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and corporate accounting policy; oversee the production of balance sheet reconciliations; provide ad hoc analysis as required by business or sector finance; provide financial support for acquisitions, divestitures; comply with all corporate policies and procedures operating within the department notify management and/or compliance immediately on discovery of any regulatory breach as part of this responsibility, ensure that the nature and extent of management information provided to members of the Executive committees, either directly or indirectly, is appropriate to enable them to play their part in identifying, measuring, managing and controlling risks of regulatory concern; develop team members so as to maximise their output, job satisfaction and ability to grow within a dynamic and high growth business.
